It's set to be a big season for Mark Warburton and Nottingham Forest in the 2017/18 campaign, with a push for the play-offs surely expected to be the target.

The Reds only just about survived on the final day of the season thanks to a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town but next season, their supporters will want to see vast improvements.

Phillipe Montanier didn't build a good enough squad last summer so the emphasis is on Warburton bringing in some quality players for the upcoming campaign.

And one man we'd like the Reds to be targeting following his release from Premier League outfit Burnley is £850,000-rated Michael Kightly, who's spell at the Clarets has come to an end.

The industrious 31-year-old has bags of experience from his time playing up and down the divisions in England and most recently he's been in the Championship, on-loan with Burton Albion.

Whilst his performances might not be as fast-paced as they used to be a few years ago, he's still a tricky player who can cause opposition teams trouble down that right-hand side.

Quick, hard-working and with a real eye for goal, he might be the perfect fit at Forest, who need as much quality as possible after a poor season last time out.

He's available on a free transfer too, which gives even more reason to make a move for his services.

Forest fans- would you make a move for Kightly this summer? Leave your thoughts down below!
