According to the Northern Echo, Liverpool remain keen on Dael Fry and may look to make a move for him in the summer window.

A very talented young defender that is good on the ball, the Reds have apparently been watching him for some time and this summer could see them bring him to Anfield - though they are also weighing up whether they should watch him develop from afar for a bit longer.

Can some of our FLW writers see it happening this summer, though? We discuss...

Louie Chandler

"I don't see why not.

"Fry is an exciting young English talent which makes him instantly desirable to nearly all of the Premier League.

"Yes, Liverpool's defence has been excellent this season but it would be silly to rest on their laurels and adding Fry would be a smart move."

Toby Wilding

"If Liverpool want it to, this should happen.

"The Merseysiders should have more than enough financially to pull this off, and this is an opportunity that Fry may not get again in his career, so he may well be keen to take it while he can.

"The only sticking point could be around whether or not Fry will be given first-team football immediately at Anfield, but only he will know how confident and how much of an immediate priority that is for him."

George Dagless

"The Reds can definitely get this done.

"Fry is a fine young defender and one that would fit into Liverpool's ethos well, as well as learning from the likes of Jurgen Klopp and Virgil van Dijk.

"They've shown a willingness to go after players like this so I'd never be surprised at all if it happened.

"However, it also makes sense to watch him develop some more, so maybe caution will be the order of the day."
