It's sure to be a very busy few weeks at Leeds United before the season starts as Marcelo Bielsa looks to reshape his squad ahead of the new season.

The Argentinian was a major appointment for the club and will have big ambitions for the Whites. However, after their poor campaign last season, it's clear the side are short in many areas.

Therefore, several arrivals are expected, yet outgoings are highly likely too as Bielsa looks to trim his squad.

And, one player the fans wouldn't mind leaving the Yorkshire club is midfielder Eunan O'Kane.

There's no getting away from it, the former Bournemouth man hasn't done enough since joining Leeds and was particularly poor last season, with his red card at Ipswich Town a particular low point.

However, he has proven himself to be a decent Championship player in the past and here we give three reasons why he should stay at Elland Road this summer...

Leeds aren't blessed with real quality in the middle of the park anyway, so you'd want at least two players in before you try and shift O'Kane out.

And, we know how tough concluding deals for the right players can be. Given that, they are better keeping O'Kane who provides competition in that area, particularly if they can't land suitable replacements.

We've seen players transform under different managers over the years. Whether it's a lack of confidence or the system, things just don't work out at times.

Yet, playing under a manager like Bielsa could change things for O'Kane. If a manager like the Argentinian shows faith in you, the Ireland international could become the player Leeds fans hoped.

Another reason to keep him, is that O'Kane is one of few in the Whites squad that has won this division before.

That know-how and experience could be vital in a long, tough season.
