It could be a tough season for Reading, with Paul Clement's men struggling towards the bottom of the Championship at this early stage.

Even though there's more than enough time for the Royals to start climbing the table, there's a distinct lack of quality in key areas of the side.

Therefore, January could be crucial for the former Derby boss as he looks to bring in players that can make an immediate difference.

Another option for Clement would be to turn to the younger players, with the Royals boasting a very talented academy.

However, bringing them in to such a demanding situation isn't ideal, particularly as they haven't yet proven themselves.

Therefore, the Berkshire club could look to send some of those talented youngsters to lower league clubs to get some much-needed experience that will help them develop as players.

Here we look at TWO who will be pushing for January moves...

The young forward is extremely highly-rated and managed to make the bench against QPR recently after showing some fine form in the U23s.

But, if we're honest, he is a long way from the first-team and Clement will be reluctant to throw him in given the situation.

At 18-years-old, Loader is at an important stage of his career and playing regularly for a few months could see him come back next summer ready to make an impact.

Like Loader, House has been scoring goals at U23 level against some good opposition and he is another that they will have high hopes for at the Madejski Stadium.

However, he faces similar problems to his fellow forward in that there are many players in front of him in the pecking order.

He will need to prove himself elsewhere before he gets a chance, with competitive lower league football much more beneficial than the U23s.
