Any QPR fan will admit that not even they could have predicted their impressive recent form, with Steve McClaren's side emerging as surprise promotion contenders.

The Hoops are currently sat 10th in the Championship table and are just two points behind Derby, who occupy the last play-off spot.

Their recent charge up the table has come as even more of a surprise given the miserable start they made to the season.

They were in the bottom three towards the start of the season and looked like one of the favourites to drop down to League One, but McClaren has certainly turned their poor run around.

The former England boss was facing questions about his future, but seems to have silenced his critics for now.

The QPR boss has been heavily reliant on more experienced players this season, which will be disappointing news to the younger players at Loftus Road.

A loan could benefit the midfielder's development.

The youngster has recently stepped up to the QPR under-23s team this season after impressing for the under-18s.

He made 20 appearances for the 18s last season and after scoring five goals, he could be the future of the club.

It doesn't seem likely that he will force his way into the first-team anytime soon, so he could certainly benefit from a loan spell elsewhere.
