The Premier League man who Birmingham City need to bring back to the club

Birmingham City could be left with a problem this summer.

Both of their senior goalkeepers on their books are out of contract at the end of the current campaign.

Tomasz Kuszczak is the first choice stopper at St Andrew’s and has previously stated his desire to stay with the West Midlands outfit.

However, the Polish goalkeeper has not agreed fresh terms and it remains to be seen whether Birmingham offer him a new contract.

That is something that Harry Redknapp or whoever is in charge of Birmingham this summer will need to weigh up.

The second choice goalkeeper, Adam Legzdins, is unlikely to be offered a new deal though.

The former Leyton Orient ‘keeper has had some erratic displays in goal for Birmingham and will probably be released at the end of the year.

So, as a result of this situation, Birmingham City will be looking for either one or two goalkeepers this summer.

One man that might be available is former goalkeeper Darren Randolph.

The Republic of Ireland international was a regular in goal for West Ham and his country until some dodgy recent displays have seen him dropped for Adrian.

The Spaniard is a fans’ favourite at West Ham and has kept two clean sheets in two games.

As a result of this, West Ham are likely to extend his deal and get rid of Randolph on the cheap in the summer as they look to bring in a new goalkeeper.

Randolph would be a decent catch for a Championship side as he has proved his worth between the sticks on a number of occasions previously.

Birmingham fans – would you take Randolph back? Let us know below…
