News emerged recently that Stoke City were set to bid for Birmingham City striker Che Adams in the January window as they look to improve their situation.

Stoke are struggling in the Championship this season after being relegated from the Premier League last year.

They currently sit in 14th place despite being made convincing pre-season favourites to win the title in May, with the fans growing increasingly frustrated with the club.

But the signing of Adams from Gary Rowett's former club would be hard to argue against, with the 22-year-old in brilliant form over the opening months of the season.

He has scored eight goals and assisted two more so far this season, forming a lethal partnership with strike partner Lukasz Jutkiewicz.

Adams only moved to St. Andrew's in 2016 and the offer Stoke are ready to launch is thought to be around £5m.

It is likely that the Blues will want more for their star man, but if the deal were to come off, here is how Stoke's attack could line up...

In what would be a bold move for Rowett, Bojan could come in as an attacking midfielder.

Playing behind two nifty strikers, it is likely the Spaniard would be at his best and would have a field day feeding the runs of a new-look attack.

One half of that partnership would be Benik Afobe.

Four league goals indicate a poor return for the striker so far, but he would 100% benefit from having a strike partner around him to play off.

And Adams would, of course, be partnering him.

He has shown at Birmingham this season just how much a strike partner gets the best out of him and you feel that would have to be the route Rowett goes down if he were to land the striker.
