Middlesbrough have had a very steady opening 16 matches of the Championship season and currently sit in fourth place.
Tony Pulis’ side look set to push for an automatic promotion place after starting the season as one of the only sides to perform to a consistently high level, which leaves them currently sitting just two points behind Leeds United.
Whilst their defence has been incredibly impressive, Boro have been lacking in firepower at times with their 17 goals the lowest tally amongst the promotion hopefuls.
As the January transfer window approaches, so do fresh opportunities for Pulis to strengthen his attack with some much-needed ammunition.
He is reportedly on a two-week trial at the Riverside as the youth coaches take a look at the 18-year-old and the club weigh up a bid.
