Middlesbrough have been suffering from a lack of creativity in their side in recent weeks, with Tony Pulis' side dropping down the table at an alarming rate.

But they look set to make their first signing ahead of the January transfer window, with Rajiv Van La Parra set to arrive on loan from Premier League side, Huddersfield Town.

Sky Sports confirmed that the winger is set to undergo a medical at the Riverside ahead of a move that will certainly suit both parties.

Van La Parra has only made five appearances for the Terriers this season and is evidently frustrated with his lack of game time this season in the Premier League.

He will be hoping to have an instant impact on the Boro squad as they challenge for promotion to the Premier League after a spell out of the top flight.

So, how would the attacking front-three line-up when Van La Parra joins Middlesbrough?

Find out here.....

The Middlesbrough veteran is showing little signs of struggling for match fitness towards the later stages of his career and has made 21 starts for Pulis' side.

His hard work ethic and creativity at left-wing would provide either Jordan Hugill or Britt Assombalonga with the service they need to score much-needed goals for Boro.

Van La Parra has already proved himself to be an excellent addition for any Championship club after a hugely successful spell with Huddersfield.

The 27-year-old has been restricted to just five league starts in the top flight and it will come as no surprise to see Middlesbrough looking to secure a deal for him in the New Year.

The powerful striker has shown glimpses of his quality this season but hasn't been given regular game time, which has seen him struggle to make a consistent impact in the Boro squad.

Assombalonga has six goals to his name this season and is Middlesbrough's top goalscorer, so he should be starting almost every game for Boro.

If he can recapture his best form then he will keep Boro in the top six this season.
