With the January transfer window fast approaching, teams across the Football League will be identifying new targets.

The latest rumour to emerge is that of Blackburn Rovers' interest in Lincoln City winger Harry Anderson, according to Team Talk.

The 21-year-old has been a key member of the Imps success so far this season, scoring twice and assisting two more as well to help shoot the club to the top of the League Two table.

Anderson made the permanent move to Sincil Bank last summer from Peterborough United after spending the previous season on loan with the Imps.

In total he has been directly involved in 28 goals in 99 appearances for Danny Cowley's side, scoring 16 and assisting 12.

Despite making a good start to the season, there is no doubt that Mowbray will be keen to strengthen in the winter window.

Only eight new faces arrived at the club during the summer with none of those players operating as a winger.

Here is how he could set-up his new attack if Anderson were to arrive...

Over on the right would be Anderson himself.

It is the position he feels most comfortable in and would prove a real threat bursting to the byline and whipping dangerous crosses into the box.

In the attacking midfield role would, of course, be Bradley Dack.

Dack has been Rovers' best player over the last season and a half and is frankly undroppable at the moment.

Seven goals already this season point to a key man.

Palmer would take up the position on the left.

Naturally a right winger, Palmer still has the ability to create on his left and it would offer him the chance of cutting in and unleashing hell with his right.

It would be great to see Armstrong leading the line.

Danny Graham has done a great job for Rovers but it might be line for Mowbray to start looking to the future a bit more.

Armstrong did brilliantly in League One last season and has impressed when played as a striker this year.
