Portsmouth and Plymouth Argyle fans are both extremely happy at the end of the 2016/17 season.

Both sides suffered disappointing play-off losses at the end of the 2015/16 season - Portsmouth lost to Plymouth in the semi-final and Plymouth were defeated by AFC Wimbledon at Wembley.

However, both sides have bounced back stronger and produced spirited promotion bids this season.

They have both earned the ultimate reward: automatic promotion.

Portsmouth clinched the title on a dramatic final day with Plymouth finishing in second place.

As they both prepare to play League One football again next season, summer transfer business will be on their minds.

There is one player who could make the switch between the two sides and slot in seamlessly at Plymouth.

Milan Lalkovic is seemingly surplus to requirements at Fratton Park.

After joining from Walsall in the summer, many thought that the exciting winger would take League Two by storm.

Despite showing glimpses of his talent, the former Chelsea youngster was loaned out in January and joined Scottish Premiership outfit Ross County.

The £213k rated wide man is an exciting prospect still and he has proven his worth in League One with a prior spell at Walsall.

If the 24-year-old can rediscover the form that he showed for most of his time with Walsall, Plymouth Argyle will have a free scoring, assist-providing skillful winger on their books.

The former Slovakia under 21 international just needs regular playing time to get back in a rhythm and he is unlikely to get that at Portsmouth considering their wealth of attacking talent.

Plymouth would be the perfect next step for him and the Devon based outfit could also benefit from his talent if he can find his confidence again.
