Sheffield Wednesday are straight back to it following the international break when they host Middlesbrough in the Friday night match.

The form of 28-year-old striker Fernando Forestieri has played a major part in the Owls' improvement that has seen a return of threee goals in nine appearances in the league this season.

But what does the future hold for Forestieri, will he still be at Wednesday in three years time?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

I can see a move to the continent being on the cards in the summer or the one after that, to be honest.

Fernando Forestieri is a good player, but having spent so long over here and edging towards his 30s, you’d imagine he might want to move to a European side to see out his days as a professional footballer.

I can’t see him being at Hillsborough any longer than two years, let alone three.

Gary Hutchinson

No. Age wise it puts him in a different bracket and I think there’s going to be change at Wednesday.

I can see a Premier League club picking him up as early as January.

Someone will take a punt and right now, Luhukay could do with the cash.

George Dagless

I do.

It might come down to Wednesday's finances but I think there is a genuine feeling that right now the player is enjoying his time at the club.

I can't see anyone making a real play for him either right now, too, so as it stands I can see him staying.

Jacob Potter

It seems unlikely.

Forestieri has been one of Sheffield Wednesday’s best players in recent years and if he hadn’t have got injured for a large part of last season, I think we would have seen him move on.

He is one of the most technically gifted players I’ve had the pleasure of watching and I can see a Premier League side coming in for him.
