It's been a tough season for Bristol City down in the Championship, who picked up some superb results towards the end of the campaign to secure their Championship status for another year.

But there's a big summer ahead for manager Lee Johnson, who has to bring in some decent players to restore some faith in his ability to take this team forward.

The young manager somewhat lost the support of Robins fans over the course of the campaign and the pressure is on to add strongly over the coming months, so his team can improve on their league finish of 17th this time around.

And one man we think would be more than worth taking a punt on is £150,000-rated Blackpool striker Mark Cullen, who has been in superb form for the Tangerines in recent weeks.

The former Hull City man has been plying his trade in the lower divisions in England for a couple of years now having struggled to make a real name for himself at the KC Stadium and it's definitely working.

He scored a superb hat-trick as Blackpool overcame Luton Town 3-2 in the League Two semi-final first leg at Bloomfield Road on Sunday evening, which again, will get people talking about him evermore.

Of course, it's always a risk to spend a princely sum on a player who has been doing well in the lower leagues but for Bristol City, the need to bring in a replacement for the ever-important Tammy Abraham is huge.

The Chelsea loanee had been such a big part of their squad this summer, they need to sort out someone else that can grab the goals next season.

And 25-year-old Cullen is certainly someone the Robins should keep an eye on.

Robins fans- do you think Cullen would be good enough to make that step-up? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
