Sheffield United are very well placed for an assault on an automatic promotion spot in the closing months of the season.

Chris Wilder's side sit in third place with 30 matches played, just three points behind table-toppers Norwich City and second-placed Leeds United.

There have been a host of stand-out performers within the Blades squad this season with Billy Sharp continuing to fire in the goals, Oliver Norwood proving a brilliant midfield acquisition and John Egan maintaining a rock-like presence in defence.

Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson is another player who has stood out this season with the goalkeeper proving a real hit between the sticks.

It is not just in Manchester and Sheffield that he has admirers, though.

ESPN reported on Wednesday that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in bringing the 21-year-old to the club, but will need to fend off Juventus as well in their hunt.

But would he be a good signing for the North London outfit?

We discuss...

Jacob Potter

"It would be a smart bit of business by Spurs.

"Lloris isn't getting any younger and Spurs don't have a strong option in their ranks that is ready to step in at the moment.

"Henderson has been hugely impressive for Sheffield United this season and he could prove to be one of the best goalkeepers in the country.

"This would be exactly the type of signing that Spurs need."

George Harbey

"Henderson is a very talented goalkeeper who definitely has a bright future ahead of him, so it doesn’t come as a shock to see him linked with a move to a Premier League club.

"He’s still young but has been a very mature figure in between the sticks for Sheffield United this season.

"He could be the perfect long-term replacement for Lloris."

Jay Taylor

“They have a pretty stacked line up in the goalkeeping department if you ask me.

“I don’t think he would be anywhere near the first team unless Hugo Lloris departs in the summer.

“But he’s the club captain and Paulo Gazzaniga is an honourable backup, too.

“It would be a class signing for the future, but one I fail to envisage, in all honesty.

“Spurs might have had a case of FOMO hearing other big clubs were in for him and didn’t want to be left out.”
