Football League World's Reading fan pundit Harry Chafer has admitted that he is worried about the club's bargaining position over the future of starlet Danny Loader.

Earlier this week, Sky Sports News reported that Manchester United were interested in bringing the striker to Old Trafford and with his contract set to expire in the summer, Chafer is not feeling confident.

"He is a young player with a huge amount of potential and is obviously very, very talented," the regular punter told Football League World.

"So on the face of that you would be expecting the Reading owners to be holding out for a fairly big sum of money for the teenager.

"However, with the uncertainty of his contract situation, Loader could hold out until the summer and leave on a free transfer,so the owners are really stuck in a bad position here.

"If we have the powers to persuade Loader to stay for football reasons and really kick on, then I believe Loader will stay.

"But if Loader puts his wallet before his football brain, he could very well be leaving on a free transfer in the Summer - which would not be good for Reading."

Can you name every top Reading goalscorer from the last 15 seasons?

The 19-year-old has made just four first-team appearances so far this season but is yet to find the back of the net, although he has notched three in two for the reserves.

In total during his time with the Royals he has made 29 first-team appearances and scored just once, but that has not put off potential suitors from registering their interest.

According to the MailOnline, Wolves also remain interested in signing Loader as well, having previously come close during the summer, so a bidding war could be about to ensue.
