Steve Bruce has really had a season of two halves, initially getting sacked as manager of Aston Villa following a run of one win in ten, before arriving at Sheffield Wednesday where he has gone nine matches unbeaten and is now only two points behind Villa and four points off the play-off places.

The Owls face Blackburn before the international break and then host Stoke City, before the hotly anticipated visit of Aston Villa at the start of April.

So has Bruce managed to silence any critics he had?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

"Absolutely.

"He is back to doing what he does best and the fact he has taken Wednesday near to level with Villa should be enough to silence any critics.

"Unbeaten in nine, the Owls have a real shot of making the top-six."

Gary Hutchinson

“No, he’s not done anything yet.

“New manager bounce isn’t rare, he could easily crash and burn.

“He’s got a lot to prove still.

“I hope he does it though.”

Jay Taylor

“For now, sure.

“That never lasts long in football, so he is certainly doing it right now with Sheffield Wednesday’s impressive form.

“If the Owls make the play-offs it would be a real showing of his talent to the people who doubted him when he was first appointed.”
