After a season which began as one of optimism and hope turned to one of disappointment, ambitious owners Fosun International will be hoping Wolves are competing at the right end of the table next season.

Although it is expected that this summer transfer window will be similar to the last with the focus primarily being on Portuguese players due to the influence of Jorge Mendes, there may be some interest in Championship experienced players.

It is clear that Wolves' issue has been a lack of goals and Wolves' misfiring front-line will need to be addressed in the summer if Wolves are to climb back up the table.

One player who may be of interest to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer is Norwich City's out-of-favour forward Yanic Wildschut.

After impressing for now relegated side Wigan Athletic, Yanic Wildschut earned a high-profile move to Championship rivals Norwich City.

However, after making the move to Norwich City in January, the Dutch forward has struggled as he made just nine Championship appearances for the Canaries.

Following the arrival of Stuart Webber as Norwich City's sporting director, it is expected that Norwich City will undergo a mass overhaul in the summer which will include a reduction in the wage bill.

An almost definite victim of this mass overhaul is Yanic Wildschut who after just three and a half months at the club is likely to be offloaded in the summer, as it's been revealed that they are willing to listen to offers for the winger.

Despite struggling to impress for Norwich, the Dutch forward has shown that he has the raw talent and ability to be an asset for a Championship side.

Prior to joining Norwich, Wildschut scored five times and provided two assists primarily from the left-wing role.

If the 25-year-old winger could re-find his form at Wolves, he could prove to be an astute signing.

Wolves fans, would you like to see Yanic Wildschut join your club? Do you think he would be a success? Or should Wolves look elsewhere, if so at who? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
