Marcelo Bielsa has certainly made an impression in the City of Leeds since arriving in England, with his Leeds United side flying in the Sky Bet Championship.

Leeds have been out of the Premier League since 2004, but this year, under Bielsa, they have their best chance of returning to the top table of English football.

Things aren’t easy for Bielsa at the moment with injuries plaguing his side, and today, he’s lost Lewis Baker to Reading, with Leeds confirming Chelsea had recalled the midfielder before sending him to the Madejski.

Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post provided Bielsa’s thoughts on the deal, with the Argentine admitting he wanted the midfielder to stay, even stressing he had told Baker he wanted him on board next year for the 2019/20 campaign.

That statement was met by plenty of reaction, with some Leeds supporters convinced that Bielsa has just confirmed he will be at Elland Road a second season.
