It was disappointing day for Birmingham City on Saturday, as their a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at St Andrews' brought their unbeaten start to the Championship season to an end.

In a game that, with the exception of a Scott Hogan stoppage time goal that was ruled out for offside, saw Aitor Karanka's side pose little in terms of an attacking threat, Barry Bannan's penalty early in the second half was enough to secure all three points for the visitors.

Despite that disappointment, one source of encouragement from the game for those of a Birmingham persuasion, was the performance of substitute Jonathan Leko.

Brought on with 25 minutes to make his first appearance for the club following his summer move from West Brom, the attacker was impressive in helping lift the Blues' game, with his attacking instinct and desire helping to at least put some pressire on Wednesday's backline.

Indeed, that appears to be something that did not go unnoticed by the club's fans as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on Leko's impact on the game.

Here, we take a look at what some of them had to say.
