Reading take on Leeds United on Tuesday evening, in a game where both sides will be desperate for an all-important three points for different reasons.

The Royals need points to help keep themselves out of the relegation zone, whilst Marcelo Bielsa's side will be desperate to keep their promotion hopes alive heading towards the end of this year's campaign.

It's sure to be a potentially tricky game for the Whites though, against a Reading side who will have a point to prove after a disappointing season.

One man who will be eager to prove a point more than most is Lewis Baker, who comes up against his former club this evening.

Baker had a time to forget in his spell with Bielsa's side, and struggled to nail down a regular spot in the Leeds midfield with competition for places, high in the Whites squad.

But he's since moved to Berkshire and has been a breath of fresh air in the Royals midfield as they battle to retain their Championship status.

He is sure to be one of the first names on the team-sheet and Jose Gomes will be counting on Baker to provide the creative spark for the Royals going forward this season.

Heading into this game, Baker will be keen to prove to Leeds supporters what they will be missing out on, and if he can do that, then Bielsa will surely be regretting letting him terminate his loan spell.

There's no doubting that Baker has the quality to be playing for a higher-placed team in the Championship, but he needs to continue to impress as the season progresses to earn a move away from Stamford Bridge.

It's sure to be a tough game for Baker to stamp his authority on against a Leeds side that will be full of confidence of cementing their position in the automatic promotion places - but he has the quality to change the course of the game for the Royals.
