It is safe to say that Steve McClaren is currently proving a lot of critics wrong with Queens Park Rangers recent run of form.

The Rs lost their first four matches of the season including a 7-1 loss to West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns and looked destined for a real scrap to avoid the drop.

Last Friday, however, Steve McClaren's side picked up their sixth win of the season thanks to a 1-0 win against Aston Villa at Loftus Road and are looking like anything but relegation candidates.

The Rs now sit seven points clear of the drop zone but more remarkably are now just four points behind Norwich City who currently occupy the final available playoff spot.

But they will need more bodies in during the January window if that is to become a realistic ambition and with the Rs current state of affairs and an impending embargo they will need to sell before they can buy.

And there is one man at the club who would bring in the cash to do so.

Who?

Controversial, maybe, but QPR should be looking to sell Luke Freeman in January.

The winger has long been one of the club's best and most creative players with a huge overreliance placed on his abilities at times over the last couple of seasons.

But with the likes of Ebere Eze and Pavel Wszolek stepping up this season the reliance on him is waining.

Freeman is still the player at the club who would bring in the most cash as well, most likely £5-8million, which would be invaluable to them in the January window.
