The 2019-20 Championship season is now fully underway and after an exciting start to the campaign only Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic have 100% records after two rounds of matches.

While at the other end of the table Reading, Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers are yet to put points on the board.

So of the 24 sides competing to get promoted to the Premier League next May, which side can boast the best home support in the division this season?

We discuss........

Toby Wilding

"This is a tough one.

"Any fan you ask is surely going to say their own team, and with the dedication that plenty of them show up and down the country week in week out, you can certainly see why.

"That being said, you do feel that there are certain sides whose backing does stand out over the course of the season.

"While For starters, I do have plenty of admiration for the support shown by Charlton fans over what has been a really difficult few years for their club recently, I do feel that given the consistent size of their attendances, and the atmosphere they can quite often create to give their side a lift, means that overall I'm going to have to go for Leeds on this one."

Louie Chandler

"I have absolutely no idea, to be honest.

"The only Championship ground I have been to so far this season is Craven Cottage so I am probably not in the best position to judge.

"The obvious answer is to say Leeds, but considering they know they will be challenging towards the top it obviously makes it more appealing for them to turn out in force.

"But then you look at the promoted teams. Charlton impressed me with their turn-out considering they know they could struggle and Luton are much the same."

“With the Championship boasting a fantastic level of support which is unrivalled by any other second-tier division in Europe, it is extremely tough to single out one team in terms of who creates the best atmosphere.

“Whereas Leeds United fans play a major role in making Elland Road such a tough place to visit for away supporters, both Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City supporters can really up the anti at their respective grounds.

“Yet for me, it is Sheffield Wednesday who lay claim to the best home support in the Championship.

“Having stuck with their club through thick and thin, the Owls fans are a part of what makes Hillsborough such a special stadium to visit and no matter what the situation, they will back their team to the hilt and create a daunting atmosphere for visiting supporters.”
