Leeds United currently sit in the automatic promotion places, looking to end their 15-year exile from the Premier League by clinching promotion under Marcelo Bielsa.

Having appointed the Argentine in the summer of 2018, Leeds' credentials at the top end of the table have completely transformed for the better, firmly establishing themselves as one of the strongest teams in the division under his leadership.

Last season saw the Whites fall short of their goal, but they have looked to bounce back immediately and are well on course to doing so as we head into the festive fixture list. Leeds are going from strength to strength as they boast a five-game win streak along with the best defence, showing their quality at both ends of the pitch.

With the undoubted quality they have at both ends of the pitch, we take a look at the five-aside team that we would field from the current crop of Leeds United players...

The obvious first decision is to have Kiko Casilla in goal for the Whites. The experienced goalkeeper is a great shot-stopper but also tremendous with the ball at his feet, which would be crucial in that game.

The Spaniard gets down well and can read the game superbly so the number one spot is a no brainer.

Propping up the defence is on-loan defender Ben White, who has shown every aspect of what it takes to be a modern defender, with strong defensive play but also great technique to pick passes and run with the ball.

The most all-rounded player in the team is Kalvin Phillips, who demonstrates superb physicality with the ball on the floor both in and out of possession, and has been known to have an eye for goal.

Arguably the most gifted player in the squad is Pablo Hernandez who has played at the very top level of European football and was part of glorious Spain squad around a decade ago, his trickery and craft simply could not be left out.

The final player is Patrick Bamford.

Honourable mention goes to Eddie Nketiah, but this was decided on Bamford's superior link-up play and control to be able to beat a man, with his finishing not miles behind Nketiah's.
