Things are starting to look up for Blackburn Rovers.

A run of three wins from three games since the November international break has seen Tony Mowbray's side climb from 17th to 11th in the Championship table, four points adrift of the play-offs.

That is something that will have renewed optimism around the club that they may yet be able to mount a push for a top-six spot this season, something that had been much talked about around the club going into the start of the campaign.

Succeeding with that looks as though it could hinge on the performances of a number of the club's key players, all of whom have put in some big performances already this season.

Here, we take a look at those key players from Blackburn's current squad who would surely make up the club's five-a-side team, when taking those recent performances into account.

In goal, almost by default, would be Christian Walton. The on-loan Brighton man has automatically become the club's number one following the departure of David Raya in the summer.

Walton's shot-stopping would make him an asset here, despite the fact that there has still been concerns over his decision making and command of his area this season.

The obvious defensive option to select for this side would be Darragh Lenihan. The Irishman is a huge presence at the back for Rovers, both on the ground and in the air, making him a huge challenge for any attacker to beat.

Indeed, it seems like no coincidence that that three-game winning run recently enjoyed by Rovers has coincided with Lenihan's own return from injury.

Lewis Travis' versatility would surely make him a key asset to this side. The quality of his tackling and passing would be crucial to Rovers' hopes of dominating in midfield, while experience as a defender in the early years of his career would help him trackback to help Lenihan when necessary.

That he is viewed as such a crucial element of this side at the age of just 22 is a testament to the rapid nature of his development.

Surely the first name on any Rovers teamsheet, Bradley Dack is an absolute shoo-in for this side. The talismanic attacker already has ten goals in all competitions this season - seven more than anyone else in Blackburn's current squad.

With his trickery and passing also amongst the best at the club, Dack continues to be a daunting prospect for any defender at this level to face.

Even at the age of 34, you feel Danny Graham would surely have to feature in this side. The physical presence the veteran attacker possesses offers Blackburn a useful outlet to hold the ball up, with his finishing ability also making him a threat in his own right.

Furthermore, the partnership Graham has developed with Dack since the latter's arrival at the club, means he would surely have to feature in order to get the best out of the Rovers talisman as well.
