It's been a tough season for Aston Villa in the Championship but Steve Bruce will be looking to really push for the Premier League after the summer.

Villa have endured a tough time of it since dropping back into the second-tier and there's thought amongst the supporters that getting back to the top-flight next season is an absolute must.

Things started badly this season and the one thing that will see Villa back into the Promise Land is a strong start after the summer.

And that will start with bringing in some top quality players at this level over the summer months. And there's one man we think would make a superb signing at Villa Park in the coming weeks and that's £4.5million-rated Nottingham Forest forward Britt Assombalonga.

The Congolese-born forward has been banging in the goals for Forest since his move from Peterborough back in 2014 but he's endured a tough season that has seen him spend large spells on the sidelines.

But he came back on the last day of the season to fire in two goals that helped his side to a massive 3-0 win over Ipswich Town, and you can see right away the impact that he has in this side.

He's quick, strong and has a real eye for goal too.

With Scott Hogan injured and Jonathan Kodjia out for a long spell too, Villa need some new striking blood to fire them to the top of the division next season.

Assombalonga would certainly fit the bill.

Villa fans- do you need a new forward to cover for some of the recent injuries that have been sustained? Leave your thoughts down below!
