There's a big summer on the horizon down at Pride Park for Derby County manager Gary Rowett, who is under pressure to bring success to the club he used to play for as a professional.

The former Birmingham City chief took the reigns at Pride Park having been sacked controversially down at St Andrews at Christmas time and spent some time out of the game trying to figure out his next move.

And it was the Rams that won his signature, and the future of one of the brightest young English managers in the game.

But moving forward, its important that Rowett continues the decent work he started last season, turning Derby into a real force, rather than a side that consistently seem to miss out on the top-six.

And there's one man we'd like to see join Rowett down in the East Midlands and that's Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons. The England U20 international is well thought of at St James' Park but it's clear that right now under Rafa Benitez, he's surplus to requirements moving forward.

He's a quality young player that has more than shown on a couple of occasions that he's good enough to play at this level but he just needs the chance to get out there and stretch his legs, having struggling for first-team action at St James' Park over the past couple of years.

And one club we at the FLW think should be making a move for him are Derby County, who will surely be looking to make the play-offs under new manager Gary Rowett next season.

The former Brum boss has the backing of the owners and these are exciting times at the club, with supporters optimistic that Rowett could be the man to bring the good times back.

And we think Aarons would be a cracking addition to help them do just that.
