The academy of Millwall FC isn’t regarded as one of the best in the country historically.

Millwall have fluctuated between the second and third tiers of English football for the past decade or so.

Now, they are in the Championship under the tutelage of Neil Harris and they are trying to establish themselves as a solid team in the division.

They have had a tricky start to the 2018/19 season, however.

After a terrific campaign last term, Harris’ men have failed to find their best form.

The recruitment has been poor and not many have made the step up from the academy to the first team.

Despite this, there are some great talents in the Millwall ranks, and here, we list the top THREE that seem nearly ready to make the leap from the academy to the first team.

Exciting prospect Lewis White is a regular starter for Millwall’s youth sides and could be one to make the step up to the next level in the near future.

Neil Harris will certainly have an eye on White, who is still in his teens and is blessed with lightning pace and skill.

George Alexander is the son of Gary Alexander and is currently with Millwall's U18s.

There's high hopes for him at the Den.

Rob Harvey signed for the club from Brightlingsea Regent this summer for an undisclosed fee and has been a key figure for the U23 side.

Harvey is comfortable on either flank and has an eye for goal and could be called upon this season in the first team if Millwall continue to struggle.
