Queens Park Rangers finished their season in a mediocre 16th place in the championship table, with manager Ian Holloway leaving the club after the conclusion of the campaign.
According to a report in the Derby Telegraph, QPR are set to announce Steve McClaren as their new manager, who will look to bolster their squad in the summer, starting with Derby County’s Chris Martin.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a transfer to Loftus Road due to him seemingly not in Gary Rowett’s plans, having sent him out on loan to Reading for a portion of this season, where he scored just once in his short stay at the Madejski Stadium.
If appointed manager, it will be McClaren’s first job since being sacked by the Rams in March of last year, when he worked with potential transfer target Chris Martin.
Whoever the manager will be next season, what is known is that QPR will definitely be in the market for some new players, and these are the ones that should join Chris Martin at Loftus Road next season.
