Leeds United’s attention is firmly on the summer transfer window, as they look to put last season’s disappointing Sky Bet Championship campaign behind them.

The Whites finished 13th under Paul Heckingbottom, failing to seriously challenge for the play-offs, like many expected them to after a strong start to the season.

Reshaping Leeds’ playing squad will be the one thing Heckingbottom looks to do this summer, with Leeds already linked with a number of targets.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Abel Hernandez, Hull City’s striker, is on Leeds’ radar, with the Whites looking to get a deal done for the 27-year-old, who will become a free agent in the summer.

Leeds are working hard on a deal for the Uruguayan who bagged eight goals in just 10 appearances during an injury-hit 2017/18 campaign.

Here at FLW, we take a look at TWO others who could potentially follow Hernandez into Elland Road…

The YEP have also reported that there is an interest in Bartley, who spent time on-loan at Elland Road during the 2016/17 campaign.

Bartley is amongst Leeds’ top targets this summer and would be welcomed back to Elland Road with open arms after such a disappointing year.

The 26-year-old would help to solve a number of Leeds’ defensive issues.

The same report linking Leeds with Hernandez confirmed that the Whites have a £3m option on Mbakogu.

The striker has eight goals to his name for Carpi this season and is on Leeds’ radar.

Landing Hernandez might mean Leeds don’t pursue a move for the 25-year-old, but it would be no surprise to see him through the door at Elland Road.
