Reading striker George Puscas missed what turned out to be a crucial penalty for his country Romania on Tuesday night.
Puscas’ effort was saved, and Romania went on to draw the game with Norway which dented their hopes of qualifying for the 2020 European Championships.
The Royals forward hasn’t impressed too many at Reading so far this season, and has failed to score for the club since his home debut against Cardiff back in August.
He’s making the right runs but is failing to hit the target, and he has contributed to Reading’s poor form that means they’re sat in the relegation zone.
Reading now have a new manager in Mark Bowen after he replaced the departing Jose Gomes and he’ll be hoping that he can get the best out of the Romanian international in the coming weeks.
After that penalty miss on Tuesday night, here’s how Reading supporters reacted on social media…
