Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has been kept busy so far following the climax of the League One campaign a month ago, and there is a real buzz around the club since earning promotion to the Championship.

The Blades have already made three acquisitions since winning the title; Enda Stevens signed from Portsmouth last month, Ched Evans has made a return to Bramall Lane and Nathan Thomas arrived after suffering relegation to the National League with Hartlepool United.

There is still work to be done, of course, and Wilder probably still has a long list of potential signings during the summer transfer window.

One they should look to is Manchester United teenager Regan Poole.

The 18-year-old has been at Old Trafford since the summer of 2015 from Newport County, but has found his first-team opportunities limited - most of his game time has come in the Premier League reserves' division.

Poole was highly-rated when he made the switch from south Wales to Manchester and there is still a plenty of years for that development to happen, although sooner rather than later is preferable for the youngster.

The centre-back would be able to gain valuable minutes on the pitch at Bramall Lane, and it just makes sense for all parties involved.

A loan swoop is the best way to snatch his services and it would really enhance the back line at the Blades.
