There is an unmistakable air of change around Leeds United this season, with Marcelo Bielsa instilling a standard of play not seen at the club for many years.

The Whites currently sit in second place in the Championship table behind West Bromwich Albion, and the high intensity, fluid attacking style instilled by the Argentinian has got the Leeds fans very excited for the rest of the season.

One man at the centre of their attention has been youth graduate, Kalvin Phillips.

The 22-year-old's industrious style in the centre of the park has epitomised the club's change in style this season and he has caught the eye of those in high positions in the process.

England manager Gareth Southgate has reportedly earmarked the midfielder for a future spot in his national team squad, according to TeamTalk.

So, we put a question to Leeds United fans, asking: Is he good enough for that level?

Despite the high praise the midfielder has received, a whopping 69% of fans said that he was not good enough for that level.

The Verdict

Leeds fans are absolutely right here.

I think it is great that Southgate is willing to look into the lower leagues for possible England players, but it would be ridiculous if Phillips were to be called up.

He needs to prove himself over a much longer period of time, although he certainly has the potential to make it some day.
