Queens Park Rangers travel to Huddersfield Town in the Championship tomorrow.

Mark Warburton's side will look to avoid a fifth-straight away defeat in the league tomorrow, when they face 20th-place Huddersfield.

The Terriers have won just one of their last five, and could pull themselves to within three points of QPR with a win.

Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk about Huddersfield and their management duo of Danny and Nicky Cowley, Warburton said:

"Danny and his brother have done a brilliant job in terms of steadying the ship. Their management style is proven, they have got a good CV and have some very good, high-quality players within their squad.

"Huddersfield have a powerful, physical attacking threat and experience at the back – so they have a talented team but so do we. We look forward to the challenge.”

Last time out, QPR lost 1-0 to Bristol City. It was a tight game settled by the odd goal from Famara Diedhiou, and the game which saw Nahki Wells make his Bristol City debut.

QPR had their opportunities to take a point, if not more last weekend, but couldn't find the net in the absence of Wells, who had scored 15 in all competitions before departing for Ashton Gate:

"The chances are falling to different individuals, rather than one person, and we have to take them as a team,” explained Warburton.

“The positive for me is that we are creating the chances and we have shown that when we are clinical that we can get great results; Cardiff and Swansea prove that."

With Wells out the door it leaves Jordan Hugill as the club's main striker. He's scored 11 goals in all competition this season, and the West Ham loanee is set to lead the line for QPR for the remainder of the season:

"Jordan is the main man as a proven goalscorer with what he has done this season. He’ll relish it, I have no doubt," said Warburton on Hugill's role in the side now.

“I’ll be saying to the likes of Bright (Osayi-Samuel, Ilias (Chair), Ebere (Eze), Olamide (Shodipo), Luke Amos… go and get yourself forward. Get into the key areas and get the goals that we need.

“It’s a great opportunity and I know that they will rise to that challenge. We need keep on creating chances, keep on being positive, maintain the tempo to our play and the results will come.”

Heading into North Yorkshire tomorrow, QPR have been bolstered by the returns of Yoann Barbet and Angel Rangel - Barbet hasn't featured since October but was named on the bench against Bristol City, and could well feature tomorrow.

Rangel meanwhile is yet to feature in 2020 for QPR, but is another name who could play a part tomorrow after shaking off a groin injury.

“It was great to see Yoann and Angel come through on Monday and we have players who can play in a number of positions, which is important to us," explained Warburton.

"The squad is tight and we want that camaraderie and everyone to smell and taste the first team, so it is great to welcome back Yoann and Angel - it’s almost like two new signings."

Both teams are in desperate need of a win to ease their respective relegation fears.

QPR have nine points between them and 22nd-place Wigan, but all that can change within the space of a few games, and with only Hugill to rely on, QPR could struggle in the run-up to May.
