Wednesday evening sees Millwall take on Birmingham City at The Den in the Championship, and Gary Rowett's side will be hoping to get back to winning ways after last weekend's disappointment.

The Lions went down 1-0 to Wigan Athletic last Saturday at the DW Stadium, their third defeat in six league games.

They take on a Birmingham City side who have been on a good run of late. The Blues are unbeaten in their last eleven games in all competitions, with their latest result being an entertaining 3-3 draw with Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.

Ahead of the big game, Rowett was quoted by News at Den about Millwall's upcoming opponents, and what he expects from his players on Wednesday night.

"I will look for a reaction. We've got two home games coming up, and they are the type of games that we have performed really well in previously," Rowett said.

"That's the challenge in this division, you see teams up and down the league that will win a game and then will lose a game, you get that elation and then that disappointment, you have to show that reaction to bounce back."

He is also well aware that a couple of disappointing results can have a big effect in the division, and is keen for his side to show their true potential back in front of the Millwall fans.

"We are at a point now where you can't afford to drop off for two of three games because your season is over. That's the frustration [with Saturday] because I felt it was a game that was there for us to get something out of," he said.

Millwall have lost just three league games at home all season, and will be hoping to make the most of playing at The Den on Wednesday evening.
