Bristol City take on league leaders West Bromwich Albion at Ashton Gate this weekend with the Robins looking to get back into the play-off places.

They are currently outside the top six because of goal difference and Lee Johnson will be aiming to get above Preston North End by the end of tomorrow.

Johnson faced the press on Wednesday ahead of the big clash and here are the main talking points.

Bristol City's latest result came in a 1-0 defeat away at Leeds United last weekend with former Robins right-back Luke Ayling firing in the winner from close-range during the first half.

Johnson wasn't too happy with the performance and was disappointed that the side 'didn't show anywhere near enough of their identity'.

The City squad had been hit by illness ahead of the Leeds game with a few players suffering and Johnson gave an update on illness within the camp.

The Robins gaffer confirmed that 'Andi (Weimann) has had a relapse and is really struggling' while 'Fam (Diedhiou) looked better'.

Benik Afobe has been out since September after he injured his anterior cruciate ligament and he initially looked like he would be out for the rest of the season.

The striker's recovery has gone much better than anyone would have expected however with Johnson confirming that 'he is looking to come back into the group on Monday'.

Attacking midfielder Kasey Palmer has been a regular on the bench at Ashton Gate this season and was even linked with a move to Championship rivals Swansea City at the end of December.

But Johnson was quick to clear up the Palmer situation by confirming that he has 'got no issue' with the summer signing.

Bristol City announced their plans for a 125-year anniversary kit for the Fulham game that takes place on the 7th March.

The kit has been met with criticism from the Robins supporters but Johnson mentioned in his press conference that 'it's a nice idea for a one-off occasion'.
