Bristol City travel to Huddersfield Town tonight as they look to move a step closer towards the play-off spots.

The Robins will be aiming to bounce back from their defeat at home to West Brom on Saturday and manager Lee Johnson has been facing the media ahead of tonight's clash.

Here are the main talking points from Johnson's pre-match press conference...

Central midfielder Han-Noah Massengo was a notable absentee from the City squad at the weekend after being left out in favour of other options on the bench.

Johnson explained that 'the bench is picked in a very different way to the team'.

Josh Brownhill was the high-profile departure from Bristol City during the January transfer window as he left the club for Premier League club Burnley. Striker Nahki Wells moved in the opposite direction on the same night.

The Robins have had a habit of selling their best players in recent times which has cost them promotion and Johnson said that he would 'keep Brownhill and sign Wells' if he had the choice.

Wells was signed to try and improve the side in the final third with his goals and all-round play suiting the way that the club likes to play.

Johnson was quite complimentary of the forward in his pre-match press conference as he claimed that he thought Wells 'had done really well in terms of his quality'.

Bristol City faced Huddersfield before Christmas when the Robins beat them 5-2 at Ashton Gate.

Johnson has revealed that he is not expecting a similar performance to the one back then as the Terriers are 'very different to where they were then'.
