The main talking points from Bristol City press conference ahead of QPR clash

Tomorrow afternoon, Bristol City travel to QPR as they attempt to maintain their spot within the playoffs heading into the business end of the season, while the Hoops will be looking to move on up the Championship table.

The Robins go into the game in good form, having won their last three games with three clean sheets, and City striker Andreas Weimann touched upon the fact that confidence is high within the camp as they prepare to face their opponents.

Bristol City go into the game with at least one new addition within their forward ranks, Burnley striker Nahki Wells arriving at Ashton Gate on a permanent deal, and he could be enough to add something different to the Robins squad, especially when coming up against his former team.

Weimann spoke about QPR being a tough place to go, but the Hoops have struggled this season at home, taking just 22 points from their 15 home league games so far, but they have been able to win their last two at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Robins assistant head coach Jamie McAllister also spoke ahead of the trip to QPR, and he was quite complimentary of the ability their hosts’ forwards possess in the box.

Eberechi Eze, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Jack Clarke and Ilias Chair are all capable of causing opposition teams problems no matter who they are up against, and the Robins defence will need to shut off their supply as quickly as they can during the game to prevent a tough afternoon.

McAllister also insisted that momentum is key for any successful team within the Championship, but a confident Robins side can go to QPR tomorrow and make it four wins out of four if they can keep up their winning form and not shy away from their responsibilities.
