Reading take on Hull City this weekend and will be aiming to pile more misery on Grant McCann's side, who were hammered 5-1 by Brentford last weekend.

The Royals are hoping they can end a run of five league games without a victory this Saturday and may be buoyed by their win in their FA Cup fourth round replay on Tuesday night.

Reading boss Mark Bowen spoke to the press ahead of this weekend's fixtures and suggested that two of Reading's new recruits could be in line to make their debuts in the fixture at the Madejski Stadium. Felipe Araruna joined from Sao Paulo last week, while Ayub Timbe Masika confirmed a deal after being at the club on trial.

The manager also went into detail on new signing Timbe, stating that he has fit into the current group very well due to the player always having a smile on his face.

When talking about the pressure of Saturday's game with Hull, Bowen insisted that his side have to start winning in the league and will continue to have aims for a top-six finish until it's mathematically impossible to achieve.

The Royals lost the reverse fixture at the KCOM in the second game of the league campaign, when they went down 2-1 to Hull. The teams will be looking very different this time around, as the Tigers have lost both attacking players Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki in the latest transfer window.

Reading will hope to ensure three points on Saturday as they face a tough test against top-of-the-table West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday night.
