Luton Town lead the way in League Two with Nathan Jones boasting a strong squad that have delivered consistent and eye-catching performances so far this season.

The promising manager has built a strong side that have focused on producing fast, attacking football and it's resulted in lots of goals.

After the heartbreaking play-off defeat to Blackpool last year, Jones was determined to take the side one step further and it's so far so good.

The philosophy of the club has attracted a lot of praise from observers and Jones has emerged as one of the most talented managers in the football league.

As well as that, the majority of players at Kenilworth Road are young players who fit the high-intensity approach that Jones demands.

Another bonus has been the emergence of academy graduates who have easily made the step up, with James Justin a notable example. The Hatters have rejected seven figure bids for the talented 19-year old in previous transfer windows.

Here we look at two more players who could make the step up to the first-team in the near future.

The 18-year old has captained the Luton youth teams over the years and signed his first professional contract in May last year.

Whilst he has only managed to feature in one Checkatrade Trophy game this season, where the midfielder actually scored, he is highly thought of at the club. Cotter also played a big role as Luton made the FA Youth Cup quarter final in the previous campaign.

Another positive aspect of Cotter's game is his versatility, with the teenager capable of playing as a right-back if needed and that could help him get a place in Jones' squad in the future.

Famewo is a name that will be more familiar to Hatters fans as he has made a handful of league appearances over the past few seasons and has been on the bench in recent weeks.

The 19-year old is a strong, quick defender and signed his first professional contract with the club two years ago.

At the time, Jones described the teenager as a an 'excellent prospect' and will be expecting Famewo to continue his develop into a regular at Kenilworth Road.
