The clock is ticking, the minutes are ebbing away and very soon, deals will have to be put on hold for four months as the transfer window closes.

The pressure is on clubs to finalise those last-minute deals and get loan players in through the door before they miss out altogether. In some instances, those players will come with a view to a permanent move. In others, they'll be temporary fixes or reactions to a bad start to the season.

One side who haven't had a bad start are West Brom. They may be 11th in the early table, but they've settled quickly and almost took a point from a solid Middlesbrough team on Friday night.

They have a vast array of attacking options in the likes of Barnes, Gayle, Rodriguez and Burke, but perhaps they need to strengthen in the midfield. Chris Brunt isn't the most mobile of midfielders, which may indicate where they need to add value.

FLW looks at a couple of loan deals we feel Darren Moore should tie up this week...

If they could tie up a deal for Johansen it would be a superb move. He's a central midfielder with energy and bite, someone who could add a previously absent dimension to their side.

He seems to be on the fringes of the Cottagers first team and might be available, for the right terms.

This would be a greedy signing and it would have to be with a view to a permanent deal, but if there's scope then Powell would be a gargantuan signing for Darren Moore.

With the vast array of talent already on display at the Hawthorns, a swoop for Powell would further their arsenal and make them a real force in the division.
