Leeds United's start to the 2017/18 Championship campaign has been nothing short of impressive.

Thomas Christiansen's men are yet to be defeated in the league; their convincing 2-0 victory away at Nottingham Forest last weekend took the Yorkshire club up to 3rd in the league standings, albeit 5 games into the new season.

The signings of Ezgjan Alioski and Samuel Saiz look to be magnificent additions for United, and with £15 million left at their disposal following Chris Wood's departure to Burnley, you feel that Leeds' summer business isn't over just yet.

One player who would be a fantastic replacement for the prolific New Zealand international is Liverpool's Danny Ings, who is valued at a price of £7.20million on Transfermarkt.com.

Many will still wonder why Danny Ings is yet to depart Anfield, after what has been a dismal few seasons for the forward on a personal level.

The 25-year old has been plagued with injuries over the last year, a torrid spell on the sidelines which made him miss over nine months of action at Anfield.

Ings made just two appearances for the Reds last term, both coming in the EFL Cup against Tottenham Hotspur and Derby County, which adds to his total of just six appearances for Liverpool since his arrival from Burnley in 2015.

The striker was prolific for the Clarets, netting 21 times in 40 league games for Sean Dyche’s men in their promotion season to the Premier League in 2013/14.

Ings then went on to net another 11 times in the next 35 games for the Lancashire club, before sealing a dream move to Merseyside, therefore definitely knows how to find the net in the second tier.

Ings is unlikely to become an ever-present for Jurgen Klopp’s men in the near future, and one feels like he must look to move away from Anfield in an attempt to reignite his career, and if Leeds could land Ings, perhaps on a loan deal, then they could be real contenders for the title this year.

So...what do you think Leeds fans? Should you go in for Ings on a loan deal? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
