This weekend Kenny Jackett takes his Portsmouth side into a potentially tough tie against a Bristol Rovers side who are seeking to break into the early running for a play-off spot after a largely positive start to the campaign.

Pompey head into their away clash at the Memorial Stadium in largely strong form, with Jackett having seen his side win three of their last five League One games after what has been a pretty slow start to the season for the Fratton Park outfit.

The Gas in comparison have also won three of their last five, although they will be seeking victory tomorrow afternoon after they lost to both Bolton and Doncaster Rovers respectively.

This game provides Jackett with a big opportunity to continue his side's revival and as such we have decided to take a look at the XI that the former Millwall boss is likely to select against Bristol Rovers.

We once again expect Jackett to stick with the 4-2-3-1 system which served his side so well against Lincoln City in their recent 1-0 win at Fratton Park, meaning that we are also expecting an unchanged selection of personnel.

This means that Craig MacGillivray will once again keep his place between the sticks for Pompey, with the Scottish international having performed well so far for the club, thus keeping fellow shot stopper Alex Bass out of the side.

In front of the Scot, we expect Jackett to maintain the same back four which kept the Imps at bay last time out, with Sean Raggett and Christian Burgess set to maintain their positions in the centre of the defence.

They will likely be flanked by Lee Brown and Ross McCrorie, with the latter of which performing well in an unfamiliar role.

The base of the midfield five will again be likely to be marshalled by Ben Close and Tom Naylor, who will look to keep the tempo high for the south coast club, whilst behind the lone striking figure of John Marquis will be a triple threat of Ryan Williams, Gareth Evans and Marcus Harness, who will look to provide creativity in the final third.
