Millwall's players will look to end Adam Barrett's tenure as caretaker manager on a high tonight as they take on Cardiff City at the Den.

Cardiff City come into tomorrow's clash with 24 hours more rest than their opponents, which may hand them a slight advantage. Their 1-1 draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday took place on Friday night.

The Lions, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back in a strong fashion after their last-gasp disappointing 3-2 defeat to Brentford at Griffin Park on Saturday. Millwall conceded three goals in the final ten minutes of that one, and won't want a repeat of that in this fixture.

Here we take a look at the likely Millwall side that Barrett will field vs Cardiff...

4-4-1-1 has been the formation of choice in each of Millwall's last two fixtures, making it likely that it will be deployed again this evening. Barrett will want his side to have a compact shape to prevent goals being conceded in the manner that they were against Brentford.

Looking back on Saturday's performance against Brentford, the only change that Adam Barrett could potentially make would be for centre-back Shaun Hutchinson to be dropped for the experienced Alex Pearce. Hutchinson conceded a penalty against Thomas Frank's side and was not at his best, but his blushes were spared by Bartosz Bialkowski, as he made the save from Ollie Watkins. The Polish stopper keeps his place after Frank Fielding is ruled out.

Murray Wallace, Mahlon Romeo and Jake Cooper will have to be at the top of their game to limit Josh Murphy and Robert Glatzel to few opportunities.

Defensive midfielder Shaun Williams keeps his place over Ryan Leonard, as the latter is a major doubt after missing the last game.

Jed Wallace and Tom Bradshaw keep their places, after both finding the net at Griffin Park. Welsh striker Bradshaw has scored in the last three games for Millwall, putting on a man of the match performance against Leeds United. Although Sean Morrison and Aden Flint have been on form for Cardiff City, Bradshaw is likely to cause them some problems with his strength.
