Charlton Athletic will be full of confidence heading into their clash with Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

The Addicks managed to come away from their game at Nottingham Forest with a 1-0 win on Tuesday and with just two losses from their last five games, they will be feeling as if they have turned a corner.

Lee Bowyer will be happy with the squad that he has to choose from considering their recent injury problems as just two players are suffering with injuries ahead of the tie: Andre Green and Sam Field.

Here is the likely Charlton XI that Bowyer is set to field this weekend when Blackburn visit The Valley...

It is unlikely that Bowyer will tinker with a winning formula following their win over Nottingham Forest.

Dillon Phillips will remain in goal as his performances continue to get better and better.

Naby Sarr, Jason Pearce and Tom Lockyer will comprise the back three that Bowyer prefers to operate with. Sarr will be responsible for coming out of defence with the ball while Pearce and Lockyer will keep things simple when they are in possession.

Alfie Doughty and Adam Matthews will be the left and right wing-backs respectively as they try to get forward when Charlton are in possession while also making things tight at the back when the team are off the ball.

In the centre of midfield, Erhan Oztumer will be instructed to try and unlock the Blackburn defence when he can while playing the box-to-box role.

Josh Cullen will be given licence to roam forward when the opportunity allows and January signing David Davis will do all the dirty work in midfield as he tries to reach the second balls and cover the spaces left by the other midfielders.

Up front, Bowyer is likely to go with Tomer Hemed and Lyle Taylor after the latter scored the winning goal away to Nottingham Forest with a sweetly struck volley.
