Cardiff City travel to Stoke City this weekend as the Bluebirds look for another three points that will aid their push for a play-off spot.

They are currently ninth in the table and three points behind sixth-placed Preston North End and Neil Harris' side are in a good position to take advantage of any sides that slip up ahead of them.

Harris will be deliberating which 11 players to pick for the trip tomorrow in what could be a tough game in weather conditions that won't help.

Here is the likely Cardiff XI that Harris is set to field against Stoke this weekend...

Harris is expected to stick with the same side that drew at home to Wigan Athletic last weekend.

Alex Smithies will keep his spot in goal after impressing across the past month with three clean sheets in his last seven league appearances.

Joe Bennett will be the left-back despite being withdrawn at half-time against the Latics with Harris going on to confirm that he made the decision for protection.

Curtis Nelson and Sean Morrison will continue their partnership at the heart of defence after some impressive displays from the pairing.

Jazz Richards will keep his spot at right-back.

Marlon Pack and Will Vaulks will start in the central midfield spots despite Harris confirming that Joe Ralls was back in contention for the trip to Stoke. Pack will act as the defensive midfielder while Vaulks will be used in the deep-lying playmaker role.

Josh Murphy and January signing Albert Adomah will occupy the wide spaces in the attacking midfield slots behind the lone striker while Lee Tomlin will start as the attacking midfielder in the centre.

Callum Paterson will keep his spot up front after scoring three goals in his last five Championship games to impress manager Harris over the last few weeks.
