Bristol City have had a positive start to the Championship season so far and will be wanting to continue their strong start against the struggling Luton Town on their visit to Kenilworth Road.

City are currently sixth in the Championship after playing 11 games so far this season, picking up 20 points and only having lost once throughout the league season so far, a 1-3 loss against Leeds United at Ashton Gate on the opening day of the season.

Here, we take a look at the likely starting XI that the Championship's longest serving manager Lee Johnson will play as City visit Luton for their first league game between the sides since 2005...

Johnson could be tempted back to his trusted 3-4-1-2 formation that he has used on most occasions this season after using the 4-4-2 last time out in the win over Reading at Ashton Gate.

Dan Bentley is likely to be the man who gets the start in between the sticks, while centre backs Ashley Williams and Taylor Moore will be joined by Australian defender Bailey Wright, who could be one of just two changes for the Robins as they look to get their good run of form going.

Tommy Rowe and Pedro Pereira will likely keep their roles as the wing-backs down either flank and helping City to provide the width that they desperately need to make their gameplan and style of play work. In the midfield two, Han-Noah Massengo will be the more defensive of the two while Josh Brownhill starts next to him and will play a box-to-box role. Kasey Palmer is the second change to the side that's expected as he takes up the attacking midfield role, just playing off of the two forwards.

The two expected to get the nod up front and continuing their impressive partnership is Famara Diedhiou and Andres Weimann, both tasked to firing Bristol City to the three points.
