West Brom are now second in the Championship table after their win over Reading at the weekend.

Darren Moore’s men head into the international break in the automatic promotion spots and an instant return to the Premier League seems well on.

The problems in the early weeks were consistency, but West Brom’s form in September and October has put those problems to bed.

With four wins in their last five, as well as a good draw at Sheffield Wednesday, West Brom look well on to make a serious promotion bid.

Darren Moore is now settling in to West Brom after his rushed start where he won plaudits for nearly keeping them safe in the top flight.

His 3-4-1-2 system is bringing the best out of his players and giving the Hawthorns faithful something to be happy about for the first time in a few years.

A spell in the Championship may do the club good in the long run.

Here at FLW, we look at THREE lessons Moore may have learnt about his team thus far…

Simply: West Brom can score goals. We have known that from the early weeks of the season, where the Baggies dispatched of QPR in an eight goal thriller.

With 31 goals in 12 games, the claim that West Brom are the best attacking side in the league is not one to be disputed, as it is by far greater than any other side.

Harvey Barnes is a special talent. The Leicester loanee is scoring and assisting goals for fun it seems and could be a vital component to West Brom’s promotion bid.

The youngster won plaudits again in the win over Reading and Moore must be absolutely delighted with his form and will hope to keep him in January.

After being unsure of a shape in the early weeks, Darren Moore has settled on a 3-4-1-2 formation, with Harvey Barnes playing off Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle.

This formation really brings the best out of most of the players in the squad, and strikes a perfect balance between defence and attack.
