Leeds United are on the lookout for Paul Heckingbottom’s replacement at Elland Road, after taking the decision to move the 40-year-old on earlier this month.

Heckingbottom led Leeds to 13th in the Sky Bet Championship last season, with the Whites on the lookout for someone who can get them challenging for promotion next season.

Marcelo Bielsa is Leeds’ top target, with the Whites in discussions with the 62-year-old for a number of weeks now.

The ex-Argentina and Chile coach has a demanding style, with Leeds’ supporters encouraged by the calibre of manager that could potentially be on his way to Elland Road.

Fresher reports are indicating that an appointment could be on the horizon, with Leeds seemingly edging closer to landing their man.

With that in mind, here is a look at THREE players that we aren’t expecting to have a future if Bielsa arrives at Elland Road…

O’Kane endured a tough year at Elland Road, with the Irish midfielder not consistent enough.

With Bielsa’s style of play it is hard to imagine that O’Kane has enough energy to feature in his midfield.

Bielsa’s formation of choice will mean Anita is struggling to find a place in the side.

The Dutchman has featured as a full-back for Leeds, but with Bielsa preferring a three-man defence, he is unlikely to be selected at wing-back or centre-back, whilst an opportunity in central midfield isn’t expected.

Roofe was Leeds’ top scorer last season with 14 goals, but again, it is hard to see the forward fitting into Bielsa’s style.

A pressing game, at high intensity isn’t Roofe’s style.

He might get a chance to prove himself, but he could be moved on if others more suited arrive.
