With the end of the season approaching, some professional footballers will have one eye on their summer holiday, whilst most will be delighted for a break after a demanding campaign.

However, one man who won't be feeling like that is Leeds United's Eunan O'Kane after enduring a season to forget following an awful injury.

The midfielder left the Whites to join Luton Town on deadline day back in August, however just a few weeks later he suffered a horrific double leg break.

That immediately ruled him out for the rest of the campaign and he has had to watch on whilst the Hatters secured a return to the Championship.

But, a return is in sight for the player after social media posts from the player showed he was back out in his boots after seven-and-a-half months out.

So, unlike many of his fellow professionals, O'Kane is sure to be using the next few months to get back fit and he will be delighted to be out playing football again.

Given he was a not needed by Marcelo Bielsa at the start of the season, the reality is that the ex-Bournemouth man will have to leave Elland Road to get the regular first-team football that he no doubt desperately wants.

However, after such a serious setback that won't be a problem for O'Kane, who will now have all his focus on securing a new club so that he can make an impact for next season when it starts all over again in August.
