Leeds United are a proud club built on a long history and they had a chance to write another chapter this season, only to fall short of the Championship play-offs at the last minute.

There was plenty of hope rattling around Elland Road at the start of the campaign after a good start and you have to admit that for a good few months, Leeds looked every bit like promotion contenders.

But when April rolled round, the rot began and slowly but surely all of the hard work that had gone in over the past few months had been undone as team's around them slowly begun to pick up results where Leeds failed.

It was surprising, hard-to-watch and frustrating for Whites fans but for some, it reeked of the same old Leeds that had struggled at this level for years.

And there's one man that has been part of this squad that we think hasn't cut it in the slightest during his time at Elland Road.

The man in question? £1 million-rated forward Souleymane Doukara.

He signed for Leeds back in 2014 and despite featuring close to 40 times this season, he managed just six goals.

Granted, one of those was an absolute screamer but the burden on the shoulders of Chris Wood this campaign has been far too great and Doukara just hasn't contributed enough in the slightest.

He's a hard-working player who normally has good intentions but if Leeds are to attempt to get back amongst the play-off chasers again next season, there's going to have to be sacrifices.

And one of those will be cutting players who just haven't contributed enough throughout the course of this campaign, like Doukara.

Before Garry Monk signs players this summer he will have to move people on and Doukara is the sort of individual that should be sold to free funds for new investments.

Leeds fans- what have you made of Doukara's time at Elland Road? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
